What does it mean for Physical Therapists, especially those in Acute Care Practice to be practicing to the Top of their Licenses?
- HR increases > 20-30 mmHg above RHR
- HR decreases below RHR
- SBP increases > 20-30 mm Hg above resting
- SBP decreases > 10 mm Hg below resting
- O2 sats drop < prescribed level (usually 89%)
- SOB during exercise or RR increases to levels not tolerated well by pt.
- ECG changes – signs of ischemia or arrhythmia
- Non-verbal signs of exercise intolerance
